Disinfection with ultraviolet light

UV disinfection is a physical process that neutralizes microorganisms instantly when they pass through the ultraviolet lamps submerged in the effluent. The process does not add anything to the water except UV light and therefore has no impact on the chemical composition or dissolved oxygen content in the water. In this respect, compliance with the increasingly stringent discharge regulations for wastewater effluent.
